انتزع فريق السيب لكرة القدم نقاطًا ثمينًا من مضيفه فريق خصب ، بعد أن تغلب عليه على أرضه و بين جماهيره بنتيجة ( 26 – 19 ) لصالح السيب .
و يبدو أن لغياب كلاً من سعود أحمد الشحي و عمر سليمان الشحي و المحترف البحريني محمد ميرزا أثرًا في هذه الخسارة المدوية ، باعتبار أن سعود و عمر قد أجريا عملية جراحية في الركبة قبل أسبوعين في قطر .
الجدير بالذكر أن لاعبي السيب أنهوا الشوط الأول لصالحهم بفارق هدف واحد ( 12 – 11 ) ، و في الحصة الثانية من المباراة نظموا صفوفهم لا سيما الدفاع و الذي تصدى للهجمات الخصباوية بكل قوة .
و قبل نهاية المباراة تعرض لاعب خصب عبدالله حمرين لإصابة في ركبته و التي كان يعاني منها في السابق ، مما استدعى نقله عبر سيارة الإسعاف .
و إذ تثمن إدارة النادي وقفة و حضور الجماعية المؤازرة للفريق ، و هذا ما تعود عليه النادي في جميع المحافل و المنافسات ، و تخص بالشكر لرابطة فريق الحادة التي كان حضورها قوي خلف الفريق .
