Ministry of Education is concerned to develop the skill of readingamong the young students who are in the first level classes.Further to the directionsand instructions accorded by theDirectorate General of Curriculum Development towards implementation of the class library project for the first level at (1- 4 classes) schools, Almasharequewas chosen with other schools for a visit by a team from the Department of SocialScience Curriculum Development represented in English Curriculum Section whichmanned by two teachers Mr. Khalid Aljaradi and Mr. Zaher to view the school’sexperiment in this field and get use of the school experiences in implementing the aforementioned project.The visitschedule included PowerPoint presentation titled ( Reading Time) by thesenior teacher Maymona Al-Zadjali, thereafter teacher Aisha Alwehaibi was visited by the visiting teamjoining her participatory reading class which admired them a lot, then the distinguishedteacher Amani Almokhaini stated abouther experiment in implementing the reading classes with her students at classtwo by using the modern technology.Thevisiting team listened to the senior teacher’s presentation regarding somedifficulties of reading classes and how they are not compatible to the Arabian Omanienvironment.The teamadmired the methods that teachers followed which reflected on the students’level.
