تزامناً مع الإحتفال بيوم البيئة العالمي نظمت إدارة البيئة والشؤون المناخية بمحافظة مسندم حملة لصبغ جذوع الأشجار المتضررة في صباح يوم الأثنين الموافق 10/06/2013 حيث شُكّل فريقين لهذه الحملة من قبل الإدارة كل فريق مكون من 10 أشخاص , الفريق الأول يقوم بتغطية المناطق التابعة لولاية خصب ( الخالدية , سيح المحاسن , سيما , راس عقاب ) كما قام الفريق الثاني بتغطية المناطق التابعة لولاية بخاء ( تيبات , غمضاء , فضغاء , بخاء , الجري , الجادي ) والغرض من هذه الحملة الحفاظ على مفردات البيئة من أشجار برية مثل ( السدر , اللتب , الشاع ) من الحيوانات الطليقة التي تقوم بتقشير اللحاء الواقي لجذوع هذه الشجار مما يؤدي إلى موتها .
