Under the supervision of Mr. Musallam Al Mahri ,Head of the English Department in the Directorate General of Education in Dhofar,Dr. Spencer Salas ,from the University of Carolina, held a two-day training for the English teachers .The training took place on 10th and 11th December at Sultan Qaboos School in Salalah.The training dealt with Making Meaning Together: Engaging Adolescent Language Learners .The training was also attended by Mr. Musallam Al Sudeeri,Senior English supervisor in Dhofar and Mr. Fahad Nasser Al Blushi ,senior English supervisor from Muscat. The training was a good opportunity for teachers to learn new techniques that help engage all the students in the learning process. At the end of the two-day training Mr. Musallam Al Mahri emphasized the importance of applying the newly learned techniques in the class in order to guarantee the effectiveness of the training and therefore improving our students performance.
