Developing Strategies Of Teaching Hand Writing Skill))
I went to attend a work shop in Sohar in the training centre. This workshop was about "Developing Of Teaching Hand Writing Skill" .It was presented by Mrs. Safia Albolushi and Mrs. Khawla.
First Mrs. Safia explained the meaning of hand writing and she explained how a child start to scribble on a paper, initiate horizontal, vertical, copy lines and write own name.
She displayed a video for a child how he holds a pencil and write the letters it is very important to teach the children how to hold their pencils.
Next, she displayed small letters and gave each group a paper to classify these letters into A sending descending m zig zag, anti clock wise and others.
Also, we talked about important issues like punctuation marks, capital letters, direction, joining letters and four or two lines. It is important to teach our children how to write letters with correct direction on the correct lines.
Then, Mrs. Khawla completed the workshop by asking us what are the problems that we find with the students in hand writing? each group wrote one problem and we discussed them. These problems are
1_ reversal
2_ letter formatting
3_ pencil grasp
4_ alignment (spacing_ size)
Finally, Mrs Khawla discussed with us how to solve these problems. it was
an interesting workshop. Thanks Mrs. Khawla and Mrs. Safiya.
