English Teatchers Activities in Bat School for Basic education (1)

There are several Activities provided by the teachers of English in Bat School for Basic education.

• A visit to a farm

Miss Zwina Al ghafri took her students to a wonderful trip to a nearby farm. They have fun and they identify different kind of animals. Also, the teacher encourages student to use and apply the language taken in Unit two about animals.The students points to the house ,the barn and the hen house there so this experience help all the student to keep and remember a vivid pictures about the farm and all the related vocabulary.

• A teatcher's day

24/2/2014 This day was the teacher day. English group collaborates to make a special scene in the morning broadcast. Each class wrote a nice letter to their teachers thanking them for their efforts and hard work. After they read the letter in the broadcast, they gave their teacher a flower out of respect. It was a happy event and English teachers felt more appreciated from their students.

• Writing Competition

Miss wadha and Miss Ruqaia are responsible for nourishing the writing skill. So, they specialize the breaking period for a writing competition from grades 5 to 10.the theme was about "a letter to a teacher". The teachers read and evaluate the letter.Finally.they honor the participants and the winner.

• Let's have the Fun with English

The English group headed by their senior teacher participated by a competition in the events of the learning centre. It was a nice enjoyable competition between two groups of teachers .It was about reading and understanding a list of object that they must collect from anywhere in the room or from their personal stuff. They really like the competition and the senior award the winner.

• Free reading

Miss Amna Alshuaili encourages her students to read either in the class or outside it as well. She brings stories for her students up to their level. Also, she encourages them to bring their own stories or they can even read from the book. She pastes an "Album chart" to encourage students to compete. Then, the most repeated name will be the good reader and she will reward them on the morning broadcast.

• Super Reader

This title is created by Miss Ruqaia Alshumali to encourage her students to read. She writes the names of the readers on the reader chart and this lead student to compete and to feel proud of their reading.
