Salalah International School organized an excursion for the students of grade 2 on 5th April, 2017 along with the teachers in the Fire station Saadah. It was a day trip for 74 students. We separated in to two groups .Westarted from the school at 8:30am and reached Fire station at about 8:45am.
The students had an interesting & fun time and the Firefighters weregreat hosts.The Fire Fighters showed the equipment and students tried thebreathing apparatus. We went in the fire engine and the Fire Fighters showed uswhat was in the lockers on the machine. We squirted water out of the fire hosesand that was really good fun. Students recognized that Fire stations are located strategically throughoutneighborhoods, allowing firefighters to reach the emergency situation within apredetermined amount of time. The fire station acts as storage for fireengines, fire trucks, protective equipment, hoses, and other equipment. Wereached school at 10:00am. Students had a really good time and it was a veryinformative trip
