Extracurricular activities :Theoretical and applied
The term ‘extracurricular activities’ refers to any activities that take place outside of the regular school curriculum. “Students do not receive grades for academic credit for them” (Holloway, 2000, 87)
Extracurricular activities plays an important role in the school experience . Students become involved in extracurricular activities because it is
one of the ways to improve education, as suggested by Plasterk, is to improve the quality of exams in secondary education to ensure the desired level is achieved, and to encourage students
to strive for increased levels of academic excellence (Plasterk, 2008, 5)
Teachers use it to help students gain and improve skills. A wide range of extracurricular activities exist at our schools, meeting a variety of student interests but, The primary goal of extracurricular activities focuses on the individual student level to change him to be interested in language and handle weak areas such as writing (and be a new person with exact ambition in life as well).
