Good morning dear headmistress, teachers and friends.We are delighted and honoured to host the English Festival today.
we are very pleased to be able to welcome our - as we hope - fascinating events..
We realize that you are fully dedicated to the activities and competitions that will follow but we do hope you will also take time to enjoy them.
We believe that these varied activities including games ,challenges , useful lectures and practices are principally designed to enhance and improve your English skills in writing ,reading, speaking and listening.
We wish the participants a very fruitful and productive benefits and knowledge.
Enjoy yourtime with English festival
It was just the welcoming word we started our English Festival on Monday 14thof April in Bilad Bani Bu Ali School. The festival was prepared to be in two days. Countless games were prepared for our students to enjoy and adore.
First Day:
The programme started with welcoming teachers and students to the festival by grade 10 students opening show under supervision of teacher Aysha Al Senedi.

After that a puppet show by teacher Rahma AlAlawi with grade 9 students was presented in a funny acting of the well- known story Little Red RidingHood.
Then , children from Al Jeel Al Sae'd school introduced two beautiful dances and shows which fascinated the spectators.
Next,English teachers congratulated and awarded grade 12 students who have got (A)& (B) in semester one. Certificates and gifts were distributed followed by a movie maker show by teacher Salha AlMaghousi to celebrate and appreciate their efforts to get that high marks. We were so glad to have our supervisor Mrs. Nasra Al Maamari who joined us in the celebration.
Later, teacher Rahma Al Alawi did a writing lecture entitled STEP BY STEP TO WRITE WELL aimed to help 30 students who have difficulties in writing to learnthe basic rules to write correctly. The lecture included many simple and different tasks for practice.
class 11/2also did an interesting programme called I have a dream. It involved a short play, a movie maker show, some presentations about their dreams and different funny games under supervision of teacher Aysha Al Senedi.
Moreover, many presentations were arranged in substitution classes included: how to developyour reading skills and speaking to teach students some useful strategies to improve their skills.
Later on,in the fourth period and the break time all the students were invited to participate in the games done in the yard. Many games were prepared which really interest students to take part in.
Reading and speaking games in the yard included : snake&ladder, book café, story maker, what can picture tell, vocabulary and definition, card and expression, tongue twister, story teller, run to win, read to discover the pictures, don't say yes or no.
Many thanks for students who organized them and teachers Safia Al Zaree , Muna Al Saadi, Amna Al Arimi ,Nasra Al Kasbi And Kholood Al Senedi.
Writing and listening games in the yard included: Hang girl, spell orally, sound alike,word of mouth, which one, collect and create, enjoy writing, play with words,best comment, words and pictures, build a tower, touch and write, words and definitions,make your flower, the best handwriting, spell and learn, look ..think and comment and compete with balloons. Many thanks for students who organized thegames and teachers Rahma Al Alawi, Aysha Al Senedi, Basma Al Kasbi, Asma Al Arimi and Safia AL Senedi.
The winners in the competitions were awarded with different gifts including tickets to attend the English cinema next day and enjoy watching a funny movie.
Great efforts of English Teachers were very obvious in bringing together the different activities to appeal and motivate students to participate.
